CROWLE & EALAND
22nd-23rd SEPTEMBER 2018
Our parade was largely attended last year, with American, British, German and Russian re-enactors joining in, as well as the Air Training Corps and other guests. However this year we plan on making it bigger and better with more people and hopefully more vehicles! We plan on not only going through the market place, but also taking the vehicles on a small tour around Crowle and Ealand! Make sure you come out to see it! Saturday 23rd September!
If you own a Vintage/military Vehicle then we would be pleased to see you at our Crowle and Ealand 1940's Event. The invitation is open to all vehicles which can truly be classed as 'vintage' or 'classic' and although this is a '1940s event' vehicles from the 20s, 30s, 50s and 60s are equally welcome.
If you have a vintage car, tractor, bus, military vehicle or similar then please get in touch.
Although we would love you to stay all weekend, please do feel free to just 'drop by' and stay for a while.
We do however need to know who's coming to ensure you the space needed - please get in touch as soon as you can. Thank you
The DUKW (colloquially known as Duck) is a six-wheel-drive amphibious modification of the 2½ ton CCKW trucks used by the U.S. military in World War II.
The DUKW was used for the transportation of goods and troops over land and water. Excelling at approaching and crossing beaches in amphibious warfare attacks, it was intended only to last long enough to meet the demands of combat.
We are delighted that this year we will have an appearance of a DUKW on both days of the weekend.
